Fahad Tamimi – Best Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the PG…

The CJ Cup, traditionally played at Nine Bridges in South Korea, will be moving to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Nev., for a one-year stint. The course hosted the original Tiger vs. Phil match in 2018, but it’s virtually unknown for the most part. The Tom Fazio-designed course measures over 7,500 yards and will feature tree-lined, lush fairways, waterfalls and tiered bentgrass greens.

The past three winners of this tournament in South Korea include Justin Thomas (twice), who hit on +750 and +800, respectively, and Brooks Koepka at +1000 in 2017. The course will be new to most of the 78-player field, and there’s some positive expected value (+EV) plays in a strong field in a no-cut event. Four out of the top five in OWGR are playing, with Dustin Johnson withdrawing on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19.

For a full course preview and key statistics breakdown, refer to the DraftKings Preview on DraftKings Playbook. Here are the bets we should be considering this week on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Place your PGA TOUR golf bets at DraftKings Sportsbook or by downloading the DK Sportsbook app.

The DJ withdrawal shifted most of the odds and although I still like Justin Thomas at +1000, the “value” is with McIlroy. Rory hasn’t played his best since the restart and he’ll be the first to admit it. His approach was inconsistent, which wasn’t the case between the 2019 TOUR Championship and the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational last season when he rattled off five consecutive top-5 finishes and won twice. McIlroy’s game was rounding into form toward the end of last season, finishing with back-to-back top-8s at the TOUR Championship and the U.S. Open, gaining 7.4 strokes tee-to-green at Winged Foot. When Rory is on, his driver sets him apart, even from the world’s best. His putting has improved since the four-week streak of losing on the greens in August, which is a sign his entire game is coming together. Rory’s won multiple no-cut events from WGCs to the TOUR Championship and could be in line for another one this week.

Hopefully, you guys snagged Scottie at +4500 or even at +4100 before the DJ news, but Scheffler is still fair-market value at this number. His missed cut last week was disappointing, but he shot 69-67 en route to missing the weekend by one stroke. Scheffler’s played in two tournaments since testing positive for COVID-19 and should feel back in a routine this week. Three top 5s from the PGA Championship to the TOUR Championship last season is no easy feat, and if the CJ Cup becomes a birdie fest we should want the guy who shot 59 less than two months ago.

Believe it or not, Conners has gained strokes putting in his past two events, which hopefully is a sign for things to come and not an outlier. The ball-striking is elite with Conners, and with limited data to draw from this week, backing ball-strikers may be the prudent strategy. With only 78 players in the field, a top-20 should be in the range of outcomes for Conners, who ranks second in SG: Ball-striking since the restart.

The PGA TOUR travels to the Sanderson Farms Championship, which used to be an alternate field event played alongside the WGC-HSBC Champions and the Open Championship. Past winners here include Sebastian Munoz, who was +6600 last year, Cameron Champ, who was +5000 in 2018, Ryan Armour, who was +12500 in 2017 and Cody Gribble, who was +12500 in 2016. The average odds of past winners are +9150, which should tell us that our longshots should be live this week. Speaking of which, the past six winners registered their first win on the PGA TOUR at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Doc Redman to Win +2600

Hopefully, you got this earlier in the week when it was longer. Redman is one of the best ball-strikers in the field and is getting it close, ranking 14th in opportunities gained and eighth in putting over his last 12 rounds. Redman’s weekend golf is even more appealing, ranking first in approach and opportunities gained, second in par 4 scoring on holes measuring 400 to 450 yards and 18th in putting over his last six weekends.

Cameron Davis to Win +4100

Davis’ game has similar qualities to 2019 winner Cameron Champ with his length off-the-tee, but it was Champ’s putter that separated him from the competition, gaining 9.1 strokes on the greens. Davis comes to the Country Club of Jackson with a hot putter. Davis should have an advantage on the par 5s, ranking fourth since the restart with his length. Davis also ranks second on par 4s measuring 400 to 450 yards since June. Si Woo Kim at +5000 is also someone we should be considering this week, especially on bermuda.

Henrik Norlander to Win +12500 | Top 10 +1000

We’ve seen two of the past four winners come from this price range, and no one in the field ranks better than Norlander in approach and fairways gained since the restart. He’s struggled with his putter over his last four starts, but bermuda is his preferred surface, and he’s shown he can place high with top finishes at the Rocket Mortgage Classic (12th) and the Memorial (6th) back in July. Davis Riley at +13000 is also a longshot we should be looking into this week. Riley is a rising star on the Korn Ferry Tour, notching two wins already this season.

Sam Burns (-118) over Corey Conners

Great ball-strikers going head-to-head may be tough to predict, but Conners not being able to putt isn’t. Even though we’re laying some juice with Burns, trusting Conners to have four straight days with an average putter isn’t advised and will be a sweat if he makes the cut. Conners ranks near the bottom in putting, and it doesn’t get much better on bermuda, ranking 113th over his last 12 rounds. Burns, on the other hand, ranks 25th in putting on bermuda over the same time frame.

Fahad Al-Tamimi – Fantasy Football Picks: Top DraftKings NFL DF…

Week 2 was not great, Bob! Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman, Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers all went down with injuries. Barkley is out for the season, and CMC is out multiple weeks with a high-ankle sprain.

The NFL’s version of the ‘Red Wedding’ (Game of Thrones reference) does have a silver lining, even though it doesn’t seem like it. RB pricing on DraftKings is favorable this week, which has a lot to do with the top market players out.

Here are the running backs we should be targeting on DraftKings in Week 3 along with their opportunity projections this week.

Set your DraftKings lineups here: NFL $4.25M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st]

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings, $7,800

Henry is averaging just under 30 touches in his first two games and gets a matchup against a Vikings defense that looks like one of the league’s worst so far through two games. Anthony Barr is on IR, and their run D is fourth-worst in stuffed rate percentage (tackling RB behind LOS) over the previous two games. With a full head of steam, Henry will be tough to stop; he could see a ton of production this week, especially with the Vikings giving up the third-most rushing attempts to opposing backfields.

Rushing: 28 attempts

Receiving: 2 Targets; 1 Receptions

Total: 29 Touches

Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets, $7,000

Taylor’s $1,300 price increase shouldn’t be enough to pass on the Colts’ bell-cow going up against the Jets in Indianapolis. 28 total touches last week gives you the volume floor, which is so valuable. Over two weeks, the Jets’ defense has already given up three red zone scores and an 80-yard touchdown to opposing backfields. The Jets have also given up the highest number of red zone scoring attempts per game to their opponents (5.5). We shouldn’t expect similar touches this week, but don’t be surprised if it’s over 20 against a Jets defense that is giving up an average of 29.5 touches per game to opposing backfields.

Rushing: 18 Attempts

Receiving: 3 Targets; 2 Receptions

Total: 20 Touches

Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Carolina Panthers, $6,800

Ekeler’s production last week should’ve curbed any question marks we had about his playing time and production. With Justin Herbert ($5,900) under center, Ekeler hauled in 20 touches, and Herbert, who was named the starter for Week 3 on Thursday, targeted his RBs 21 percent of the time. Joshua Kelly ($5,000) seems to be the goal-line back, but Ekeler is in a great spot.

Rushing: 15 Attempts

Receiving: 7 Targets; 5 Receptions

Total: 20 Touches

David Montgomery, Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons, $5,700

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Bears as 3-point underdogs in Atlanta (at the time of writing this article), which should mean more Tarik Cohen ($4,300), but he only saw two targets last week against an RB-friendly defense with the Detroit Lions. Mitch Trubisky ($5,700) should be throwing a ton in this game, and Cohen isn’t someone we should expect to get ALL the targets in this game, providing Montgomery with some upside against the worst run defense in DOVA so far.

The Field

The field for the US Open is comprised of 144 golfers. Normally, it would feature a bigger field of 156 players and several players in the field (pros and non-pros alike) who had gained entry through local and international qualifying. However, for 2020 all of the qualifiers were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the U.S. Open committee expanded some of its normal criteria. The top 70 players in the world will all get invites, which means multi-time runner-up Phil Mickelson (61st) is in the field. Others who benefited from the new procedure include Joel Dahmen (70th) who wouldn’t have got an invite from his world ranking alone in a normal season.

Of the elite players, all of the regular names will be in attendance. Two big withdraws have occurred though. Scottie Scheffler (COVID-19) withdrew this past Sunday and Brooks Koepka (knee) announced his withdrawal last week. The cut for the U.S. open is also unique as it only allows the top 60 players (including ties) to make the cut. While there used to be a 10-shot rule here, which would include any player 10 shots within the lead on the weekend, that rule was abolished in 2012.

The Course

Winged Foot—Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Par 70, 7,477; Greens: Poa annua (80%) / bentgrass (20%)

The U.S. Open returns to Winged Foot this year for the first time since 2006. The A.W. Tillinghast-designed venue hasn’t been seen on Tour all that often but its lore in U.S. Open history may be unparalleled. The venue has hosted five previous U.S. Opens (2006, 1984, 1974, 1959, 1929) with the 1974 and 2006 events producing the two highest winning scores in modern U.S. Open history at +7 (Hale Irwin-1976) and +5 (Geoff Ogilvy-2006). The 2006 version is also well known for one of the biggest final hole collapses in major championship history when Phil Mickelson ($7,300) came to 18 with a one-shot lead only to double-bogey the hole and lose by a stroke.

The venue will be played as a Par 70 this week and clock in at a lengthy 7,469 yards. This will make it longer than the last major venue at TPC Harding Park, which also played as a Par 70 at 7,251 yards. The course is long but length alone doesn’t make this a tough course. Winged Foot doesn’t rely on water hazards (there’s literally one creek on the course) to make it hard and it’s not heavy on trees either. However, numerous doglegs do come into play that make most tee shots here very challenging and make finding fairways even more essential than normal.

The greens at Winged Foot are really what makes the course special and were described by Jack Nicklaus at one point as the “toughest in the world.” Most of the greens have severe slope and some false fronts attached to them, which makes them similar in a lot of ways to Augusta National. The speeds make good lag putting here essential but also means iron play must be up to snuff or players will risk their balls running off or bouncing into the rough or sand, which is nearly impossible to get up and down from.

From a setup perspective, there’s only two par 5s on the course but only one will be a birdie hole. The par 5 12th hole is set at a mammoth 633 yards and includes a huge dogleg left in it. There is a…

Fahad Al-Tamimi – Bundesliga Soccer: DraftKings DFS Picks, Bett…

Borussia Dortmund’s home game with Mainz is one of five Bundesliga fixtures taking place on Wednesday. Dortmund may have missed out on the title, but second place is very much within their grasp and a midweek win will edge them closer to finishing the season as runners up to Bayern Munich. Leverkusen, who are just one point clear of fifth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, can boost their hopes of playing in next season’s Champions League if they can beat Cologne.

DraftKings is offering multiple ways for soccer fans to cash in on the game, including a contest with a $5,000 prize tool that pays out $1K to the winner. Set your lineups here: Bundesliga $5K Shootout [$1K to 1st].

Soccer fans can also get in on the betting action by downloading the DK Sportsbook app or heading over to the DraftKings Sportsbook website.

Dortmund (-385) can secure second spot by beating Mainz (+900)

When the dust settles on the 2019-20 Bundesliga season, Dortmund will assess where they have to improve in order to close the gap on Bayern Munich. Finishing second is becoming a bad habit to kick and expectations of winning the league will continue to grow. It’s been eight years since Dortmund were last crowned champions and they will want to finish this season on a high note. There were 12 places between the Black and Yellows and Mainz at the end of Matchday 31 and Dortmund will start as heavy favorites in this fixture. Mainz’s No. 1 goal next season will be to ensure they can stay clear of the relegation zone. In the first meeting this season, Dortmund won 4-0 at the Opel Arena with four different scorers. Since then, they have added Erling Braut Haaland ($9,800), who is 11th on the list of Bundesliga scorers despite spending the first half of the season in Austria playing for RB Salzburg. His 11th league goal came when he came off the bench to head the only goal of Saturday’s 1-0 win at Dusseldorf deep into injury time. Haaland, who finished Saturday’s game with 12.5 DKFP, has struggled with a knee injury in recent weeks, but he looks to be back to his best and is a good shot to open the scoring (+250) against Mainz. Another bet to consider is Dortmund winning in a shutout (+148). Eight of their past 10 wins have been to nil just like the first meeting between these two sides in December. Dortmund keeper Roman Burki ($5,900) is one clean sheet behind Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer (13) with three games left to play. He offers value for money of Billy Xiong, especially if he can keep a clean sheet in this game. None of the Mainz players covered themselves in glory last weekend when they were beaten 1-0 at home to Augsburg. Few of them turned up on their stat sheet so we have to go back to their last away game. Moussa Niakhate ($2,800) scored one of their two goals at Eintracht Frankfurt in their last win, along with Pierre Kunde ($4,000) who did not play last weekend. While this is a different Dortmund side to the one Mainz faced in December, Mainz has also made changes. Robin Zentner, who conceded those four goals, is no longer on the team with Florian Muller ($3,800) holding his place since just…
